Meet Your Coworker – Episode 5: Salomey

Welcome back to another instalment of our ‘Meet Your Co-Worker’ series!

Today, we have another lovely coworker for you to meet.

For today’s reading, we have Salomey, a freelance author-illustrator who dazzles the Leeming Building with her wonderful designs!

Who are you and what do you do?

My name is Salomey and I’m a freelance author-illustrator!

When did you join Wizu and for what reason? 

I joined Wizu in September 2021, just after I quit my part-time job as an Architectural Assistant and went freelance. I joined so I could work in a space other than my home office and feel motivated to be productive!

What’s your favourite thing about Wizu? 

Friendly faces and atmosphere – it feels very welcoming and it’s so easy to drop in, get settled, and get some work done.

Do you have any notable/funny memories from your time with us? 

I’m not the best at interacting with member events unfortunately (too shy!) but I loved going bowling at the start of the year with other coworking members.

Are you known for anything in your co-working space? 

Sitting and drawing quietly on my tablet all day, probably, haha! That and chatting about art related stuff to fellow artist member Sarah.

Tell us one specific thing that you always have on your desk during the workday

My pink water bottle – always!

What’s your favourite song for a productive workday?

What’s your favourite member event you’ve attended so far?

A business networking event one winter way back when – I can’t remember exactly when but I know I enjoyed it!
