Meet Your Co-Worker! Episode 2: Heather Hutchinson

We’re back with another instalment of our ‘Meet Your Co-Worker’ series!

Today we have Heather who co-works at our Harrogate space. Get to know her below!

1. Who are you and what do you do? 

Hey! I’m Heather, I’m a Social Media Marketer support small businesses.

2.  When did you join Wizu and for what reason? 

I joined Wizu over a year ago after I moved to a new area and realised I was so fed up of working from home alone. I wanted to be around likeminded people and get out of the house.

3. What’s your favourite thing about Wizu? 

Lots of things! I’ve made some lovely friends who I see outside of Wizu and I love that there’s always something going on and a chance to be social. 

I’m self-employed now and the thing I miss most about my last role is how sociable it was; they were always putting on events and encouraging us to get involved. I didn’t think I’d ever get this again since going self-employed but I definitely have since joining Wizu. 

4. Do you have any notable/funny memories from your time with us? 

Just gathering in the kitchen for tea breaks and having a good old chat. Really makes the day a lot more fun. 

5. Are you known for anything in your co-working space? 

I don’t think so! (I low-key hope not ???)

6. Tell us one specific thing that you always have on your desk during the workday

My desk is always a mess but I always have my handwritten to-do list which I rewrite many times throughout the day.

7. What’s your favourite song for a productive workday?

Not a song but white noise is my go to whenever I really need to concentrate. 

Right now if I need an energy boost I’m putting on Speed Drive by Charli XCX from the Barbie soundtrack. It is high energy.

8. What’s your favourite member event you’ve attended so far?

Can’t beat Pizza and Prosecco on a Thursday!

9. Would you be interested in collaborating with anyone else at Wizu? 

Yes, I would love this! I love connecting and collaborating with local businesses! A lot of what I do is virtual, so it’s great to meet businesses face to face to either work together or just connect.
