Meet the Wizu Crew: Gabriella!

Get to know our new Sheffield Member Host (as of 30th May 2024) – Gabriella!

Hear about how she’s found her first month with us and what she loves about Wizu and the surrounding area.

What’s your role at Wizu? 

Member Host in Sheffield.

What’s it like being part of the team so far? 

I have been here for just over a month now and I am really enjoying it so far! Everyone has been really friendly and welcoming.

What have you enjoyed the most in your role so far? 

Probably organising the member events. It’s a fun responsibility to have and I love coming up with unique ideas as I have always been quite a creative person.

I have also enjoyed meeting everyone from Wizu and the Wizu members. It’s really interesting to meet so many people working in different sectors.

Describe your role in three emojis

Do you have any fun hobbies or interests? 

I’m really into running and general fitness – I go to the gym a lot. Hopefully one day I’ll run a marathon!

What’s your favourite thing about the area where you’re located? (The near-ish surroundings to our office spaces). 

What I love most about the Sheffield offices is Hygge, the cafe downstairs. They sell amazing pastries and coffee, and I think it’s a great facility for members to have as they can pop down whenever they need a break from work. We also partner with Hygge and their bar / restaurant Lykke sometimes for our events which is fun!

If you could trade jobs with anyone else on the team for a day, who would it be, and why? 

Probably Lucy because I was really interested in marketing when I studied it at university.

Describe your work style in terms of a fictional character’s wardrobe. 

Maybe Rachel Green from Friends! I’ve always been really into fashion and I think she is one of the best style icons of the 90s.

What’s your go-to karaoke song (even if it’s a guilty pleasure)?

Rehab by Rihanna.

What’s your secret talent or party trick that always impresses people?

I’m actually quite good at hand embroidery which always surprises people!
