Meet Your Co-Worker: Episode 4: Olivia Lowry
Welcome back to another instalment of our ‘Meet Your Co-Worker’ series!
Today, we’re meeting another one of our lovely co-workers.
Get to know Olivia, a content marketer for furniture company Swyft, and co-worker at the Leeming Building.
Who are you and what do you do?
I’m Olivia and I work in content marketing for @swyft_home.
When did you join Wizu and for what reason?
I joined Wizu at the same time I started working remotely, in 2022. I like having a change of scenery when I’m working, it helps keep me focused. Coworking seemed like the best way to do this – and it helps keep home and work a bit more separate.
What’s your favourite thing about Wizu?
It’s cliche, but definitely the people. I joined Leeming for the amenities, but have ended up being part of such a genuinely great community of coworkers. We’re all really friendly now and it’s a big plus about coworking – everyone’s really lovely.
Do you have any notable/funny memories from your time with us?
The time Kate Middleton visited Kirkgate Market was pretty memorable. The Leeming office sits directly above the market, with reception overlooking one of the entrances. I’m not much of a royalist but everyone gathering to get a birds eye view of the princess and her entourage was pretty out there for a Tuesday afternoon!
Are you known for anything in your co-working space?
Disclaimer: Olivia wasn’t too sure what to put here, so our staff have filled it in.
“Liv is known for being just generally a lovely human being, who always looks deep in thought whilst behind her laptop, but also totally up for a laugh. She also loves her fluffy cat Enya, and won’t neglect from showing hundreds of photos if mentioned in conversation.”
Tell us one specific thing that you always have on your desk during the workday
A mug of tea, always. Yorkshire, with milk and no sugar. Shout out to Wizu for keeping us all caffeinated.
What’s your favourite song for a productive workday?
Not really a song, but any Lofi playlist always helps me stay productive.
What’s your favourite member event you’ve attended so far?
It’s got to be coworking member James’ charity quiz. We all got fiercely competitive, had a lot of laughs and James made a great quizmaster. Great fun.
Would you be interested in collaborating with anyone else at Wizu?
I’m always up for meeting new people at Wizu – especially connecting with anyone else in marketing and/or creative industries.
